About us
Meet Thornton Education Trust (TET)
Thornton Education Trust (TET) is a UK-based charity dedicated to advancing education in architecture and urban design for children and young people. We believe that young people have a right to be heard when it comes to shaping the places where they live, learn and play. Yet too often, they are left out of conversations about the future of their own neighbourhoods. While there are already brilliant organisations and individuals doing inspiring work to change this, the reality is that there are over 14 million under-18s in the UK — far too many to reach without growing this movement.
That’s where TET comes in. We see our role as shining a light on best practice, sharing knowledge, building networks, and providing tools and training to help others get involved. We want to support and grow a community of practitioners working to empower young people to have a voice in the design of their world, whether that’s their local area or their creative future.
This work isn’t just a ‘nice to have’. It’s essential. And if you share this vision, we’d love to hear from you if you want to become involved.
