We want to empower children and young people engagement in the built environment!

The saying “young people are the future” is especially relevant to how and where we live, work and play. Young people inherit the world we’ve made. But they have no say today in designing or planning it.

TET is dedicated to changing that.
We transform how children and young people engage with architecture and the built environment: sparking creativity, building confidence, and empowering future generations to shape better places.

Our work is guided by three core principles:

Explore — Investigate how architecture addresses future challenges through research, outreach, and dialogue.

Drive — Unite educators, architects, and youth in a robust community of practice, setting new standards in engagement.

Amplify — Equip young people with skills and confidence

How we do all of this?

Through the development of our knowledge hub: community of practice

We share and use our knowledge and expertise gleaned from yours and our own experience of engagement and participation in three main ways:

✴︎ ENGAGE TOOLKIT

✴︎ TET DIALOGUES

✴︎ RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS

Our Programmes: showcasing excellence in engagement

We celebrate annually projects through children and young people engagement and participatory design in the built environment throughout two programmes.

✴︎ INSPIRE AWARDS

✴︎ IMAGINE AWARDS
